Comfort Home
- Description: A NYSERDA initiative aimed at making existing homes more energy-efficient. This program offers comprehensive home assessments to identify areas where improvements can save energy and reduce costs.
- Eligibility: Available to homeowners in New York State.
- Benefits: Offers personalized recommendations for energy upgrades and potential financial assistance to implement them.
Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
- Description: Federally funded, WAP helps low-income families by improving the energy efficiency of their homes, thus reducing their energy burden. Typical weatherization measures include insulation, weather-stripping, and HVAC system improvements.
- Eligibility: Priority is given to the elderly, families with children, and persons with disabilities. Income criteria apply.
